Financial Controller

Sharp Consultancy are proud to be working with a forward thinking and market leading manufacturing business in Sheffield who have evidenced year on year growth since inception.

Under the guidance and mentorship of the Business Controller and CFO, you will be involved in several Business Finance partnering functions as well as supporting and participating in business improvement programs.

This role ideally suits a (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) qualified individual who has ambitions of continuing to grow and take on further responsibility as time progresses alongside a proactive mindset and keen to get stuck into the detail and make improvements.

Stakeholder management is key, and as such you will need the ability to communicate at all levels and in varying situations.

Duties/responsibilities will include:

  • Production of accurate management accounting information, via performance reports.

  • Detailed analysis and understanding of costs, including driving cost reduction initiatives across the business.

  • Working with various teams to drive efficiencies in the business.

  • Identifying opportunities for improvements across the business.

  • Produce the month end accounts.

  • Review accounts against plan / forecast, explaining any variances.

  • Cost control against budgets.

  • Balance Sheet reconciliation.

  • Review of production variances.

  • Maintaining records and preparing management information, Forecast Review Packs and Budgetary information.
