Management Accountant

Job description

​Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will have full reporting responsibility with collaboration with the operation lead within the business.

The ideal individual will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact by streamlining financial operations and adding value with new ideas with a good balance of structure and autonomy.

There is a true line of progression available with this role, reporting into a brilliant Financial Controller who will continue to mentor and assist in development as the successful individual makes their way through the business.

Duties include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.

  • Responsible for completing monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations – collaborating with all stakeholders.

  • Analyse Financial and Business data to assess and challenge performance and to assist management decision making.

  • Produce key reports, daily, weekly and monthly in a timely and accurate manner to support business performance.

  • Leading annual budgeting and forecasting processes, reforecasting where necessary.

  • Be the primary contact during year end Audit.

  • Support on pricing.

  • Continuously review and update finance procedures to ensure optimum performance.

  • Other projects as requested by the Senior Finance team.

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified.

  • Good I.T skills particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business.

  • Adaptable / Can do attitude with good communications skills.
