Finance Business Partner

​We’re working on behalf of a well-established legal firm based in Wakefield that’s known for its progressive approach and strong client focus. With a reputation for delivering high-quality personal injury services, they’re currently looking to expand their team as part of a wider growth strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the Finance Business Partner (FBP) will play a pivotal role in managing the financial performance of a portfolio of operations. In close collaboration with Divisional Directors and their teams, the FBP will provide strategic financial insights to drive business growth, enhance performance, and ensure alignment with governance standards and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic planning and forecasting through commercial modelling and the creation of robust business cases.

  • Collaborate with operational teams, transactional finance, and Group functions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and its key commercial drivers.

  • Prepare and present regular financial reports, highlighting performance updates and key metrics.

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational outcomes.

  • Propose and implement improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function.

  • Lead or contribute to projects focused on enhancing processes and driving operational excellence within Finance.

  • Continuously evolve and improve the reporting suite to provide better usability and insights for stakeholders.

  • Provide ad-hoc support to Head of Commercial Finance.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in financial analysis or a finance role with a commercial focus.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.
