Assistant Project Accountant

Job description

Looking to gain commercial exposure and business partnering experience at the early stages of your career?

Sharp Consultancy is proud to be working exclusively on a retained basis with one of our long-standing clients—a highly respected and rapidly growing name in the manufacturing sector. We’ve partnered with this business on multiple successful placements and are now excited to support them again as they expand their team with the addition of an Assistant Project Accountant.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team, where you'll play a key role in supporting the financial management of high-value projects. Your responsibilities will include investigating budget vs. actual variances, working closely with project managers and stakeholders to communicate financial performance, and calculating accrued and deferred costs. You'll also produce insightful reports, review retention balances, support the month-end close, and work alongside the production planner to monitor cost variances on bought-in parts.

This role is ideal for someone who is AAT qualified and either currently studying towards, or planning to begin, further professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA). If you’re looking to gain hands-on commercial experience in a forward-thinking organisation that values growth and development, this could be the perfect next step.

What's on offer?

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

  • Dress-down Fridays and a 2pm finish

  • Bonus scheme

  • Full study support for CIMA, ACCA, or ACA

  • On-the-job training and real opportunities to grow with the business
