​An exceptional opportunity has arisen within a leading manufacturing business in Huddersfield. We are seeking a newly qualified, career-driven Finance Business Partner to join our team in a newly created role, driven by a period of significant growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, commercially focused accountant to make a meaningful impact on the business’s performance and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering detailed financial analysis to support performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPIs for departmental reviews.

  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.

  • Partnering with operational teams to provide financial insights that influence decision-making and profitability.

  • Acting as the go-to finance contact for department heads, offering guidance on cost control, pricing, and investment decisions.

  • Building strong relationships across the business to promote financial awareness and accountability.

  • Working closely with production and procurement teams to analyse costs and identify efficiency improvements.

  • Reviewing and refining product costings to optimise profitability across projects and product lines.

  • Conducting margin analysis to identify underperforming areas and recommending solutions.

  • Providing financial modelling and analysis to support new business opportunities, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.

  • Assisting the Finance Director in preparing board reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.

  • Enhancing financial systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.

  • Proven experience in an SME environment, ideally within manufacturing or construction.

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret financial data and communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience in cost accounting, project accounting, or margin analysis is highly desirable.
