Finance Business Partner

Job description

​We are currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a prominent global IT Software company in Leeds. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is pivotal in supporting operations teams by offering financial insights and guidance for decision-making, preparing forecasts, analysing profitability and performance, and driving system improvements and continuous enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Operations teams, providing valuable financial insights, planning, performance analysis, and guidance to inform decision-making.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.

  • Oversee the preparation and management of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets.

  • Conduct variance analysis and deliver actionable recommendations to senior management.

  • Analyse financial performance to identify key business drivers.

  • Monitor and report on business performance in relation to targets and forecasts.

  • Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives.

  • Assess investment opportunities and provide comprehensive financial appraisals.

  • Continuously develop and enhance financial reporting systems and processes.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining financial operations.

Ideally will be able to demonstrate the below experience;

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.

  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally IT/Tech businesses.

  • Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex data and offer actionable insights.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel & SAP.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary £60k - £70k

  • 10-20% Bonus

  • 25 Days Holiday + Banks
