Interim Head of Finance

A wonderful opportunity has arisen to work with one of the best not for profit organisations in Leeds. The role is to support the COO as Interim Head of Finance for an initial 6 months from the middle of January 2025.

Key responsibilities include:

To have strategic responsibility for all aspects of finance. Delivering operational rigour and high-level direction, the Head of Finance will play an integral role in supporting the growth and development of Hospice and ensure it continues to be financially sustainable. The Head of Finance will provide insight into commercial decision making and provide strong financial leadership and guidance.

You will support the development and implementation of strategic plans and business plans for the Finance Department. You will lead and manage the work of the Finance team, ensuring that services are offered to the highest standard and run smoothly, efficiently, and economically in a way which meets all regulatory requirements.

As a Head of Department, you will play a key role in helping to shape the future of the organisation. As a strong people manager and someone who continually seeks improvement, you will be passionate about the provision of high-quality care and committed to our values with an ability to inspire, motivate and empower those around you.

To be considered you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with experience of delivering year end statutory accounts, posses advanced Excel skills (knowledge of Sage would be advantageous) along with a positive, hands-on can-do attitude to support everyone in the organisation.
