Group Financial Accountant

Job description

​We have a fantastic Group Financial Accountant for PLC manufacturing group with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. The role will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely production of consolidated accounts across the group and enhance financial reporting. The role would suit a newly Qualified ACA or ACCA looking for their first move from practice.

  • Prepare consolidated monthly management accounts, finance packs, and payroll costs, ensuring thorough analysis and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Collaborate with the tax team and advisors on share-based payment schemes, providing timely and accurate data.

  • Liaise with finance divisions and auditors to validate monthly results, manage issue resolution, and ensure audits meet deadlines.

  • Assist in preparing the Group's Annual Report, trading statements, interim reports, investor presentations, and the subsidiary statutory accounts.

  • Support the development of dashboard analytics, and drive process improvements and automation.

  • Prepare monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and five-year plans for payroll, share-based payments, CAPEX, and expenses.

  • Lead ad hoc projects and contribute to strengthening the Financial Control framework.

Ideally will be able to demonstrate the below experience;

  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent).

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.

  • Experience of multi-entity or multinational environment is desirable.

  • Strong Analytical skills.

  • Meticulous approach to financial reporting and compliance.

  • Confident communicator with ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficient in IT, and advanced Excel skills.

  • Knowledge of various ERP systems, or consolidation or accounts preparation software is desirable.
