Financial Controller

Job description

​Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a market-leading Manufacturing business who are looking for a senior addition which will form part of the Senior Management Team.

This position will offer not only ownership around the finance function but equally in strategic value, analysing company performance and influencing business decisions and as a true market leader.

Reporting into the Group Finance Director you will further play a pivotal role within the site, both in managing a small team and in overseeing the reporting, budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis / planning.

The opportunity to grow into a Divisional leader highlights the superb role that this company can offer, especially the longevity and continued progression into a true Senior Management position.

Responsibilities will include:

  • No.1 on site

  • Line management of small team

  • Production of monthly management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow

  • Review and analysis of costs, margins to provide insight into the site’s profitability

  • Cash forecasting, budgeting

  • Ensure robust internal controls are maintained

  • Prepare information for Corporation Tax and R&D purposes

  • Develop and streamline processes

  • ERP development

  • Quarterly VAT returns
