​Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield, who are seeking to recruit an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled finance professional to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic and growing organisation.

As Interim Group Financial Controller, you will lead the financial operations of the business, providing expert insight and strategic guidance to drive performance and ensure compliance. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and decision-making, while also driving improvements in financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports and budgets.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and all regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and enhance financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Manage financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure optimal performance.

  • Partner with senior management to support business growth and financial strategy.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Fully Qualified – ACA, ACCA, CIMA.

  • Proven experience in a senior financial management role, ideally within manufacturing or a similar industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive change, and influence key stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with financial software and systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
