Financial Controller

​We are partnering with a highly regarded high-growth multi-site healthcare business in Wakefield to support in their search for a Financial Controller / Head of Finance on a part time basis. This is a no.1 role will form part of the senior leadership team managing a small finance team. The role would suit an experienced part-time Financial Controller with the ability to produce detailed and insightful budgets, forecasts, management accounts, KPIs and analysis to support the senior leadership team and key business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Part of the senior leadership team providing strategic decision-making support.

  • Day-to-day management of the transactional finance team.

  • Preparation of Management Accounts, P&L, balance sheet etc.

  • Budgeting and forecasting.

  • Variance analysis.

  • Cash flow management.

  • Compliance and risk management.

  • Improvement of financial controls and processes.

  • Support with any ad-hoc projects.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with proven experience in a similar role.

  • Strong commercial acumen.

  • Collaborative team player with a strong drive to advance the business.

  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all departments.

  • Supportive and encouraging manager, focused on team development.

  • Knowledge of healthcare sector would be advantageous.
