Accounts Assistant

Job description

Working as part a of a member of a small finance team in a manufacturing business based in Bradford the key aim of this wide-ranging Accounts Assistant position is to keep all accounting ledgers up to date, regular reconciliations and to produce accurate management reports for the senior management team.

The main duties and responsibilities are to include:

  • Processing supplier invoices received through the Yooz system.

  • Resolving any supplier queries or pointing them in the direction of the relevant person.

  • Reviewing supplier statements to ensure all invoices are on ledger.

  • Reviewing delivery notes and raising customer invoices.

  • Posting and allocating all customer payments.

  • Monitoring credit limits and that they are in line with insured limits.

  • Assisting with invoice finance audits when required.

  • Processing of Weekly / Monthly payroll including all HMRC and pension submissions.

  • Ensuring all invoices are processed to meet month end deadlines.

  • Month end reconciliations as required.

  • Assisting with any audit queries during the year end audits.

  • Suggest improvements to increase efficiency within the department and identify and resolve any recurring issues.

This role will suit individuals who have the following skills and experiences:

  • Strong Excel Skills (including pivot tables, lookups etc.)

  • A strong focus on development and learning.

  • Flexible working attitude – working closely with the FC.

  • Study support is something that the business promote in your development.
