Accounts Administrator - About the Role

As an Accounts Administrator, you will play a key role in the Finance department, supporting the business' Credit Control and Purchase Ledger functions. Reporting to the Ledger Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing supplier accounts, reconciling transactions, processing invoices, and ensuring prompt payment collections. You will also support our UK and US businesses, ensuring smooth financial operations within the company.

Accounts Administrator - Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customers pay within agreed payment terms, chasing outstanding payments as necessary.

  • Process high volumes of purchase ledger transactions, reconciling supplier accounts and ensuring accurate financial records.

  • Manage credit control, resolving queries efficiently and professionally.

  • Prepare invoices for payment batches, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain and update customer and supplier account details across all finance systems.

  • Issue reminder letters and manage accounts referred for debt collection.

  • Carry out supplier statement reconciliations and sales ledger updates.

  • Support the Finance team with general administration and non-routine payment processing.

  • Identify and communicate process improvements to enhance Finance team performance.

  • Provide cross-functional support to other departments as needed.

Accounts Administrator – The Role

  • Adequate experience in credit control, purchase ledger, or a similar role.

  • Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume transactions.

  • Experience with Excel, Sage and/or any accounts software is an advantage but not necessary.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work under pressure.

Accounts Administrator - What We Can Offer You:
