Senior Accounting Advisory Manager

​We are partnering with a leading accounting, tax, audit, and advisory firm that provides a range of services to businesses, including payroll, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and business advisory services. The company has grown predominately through acquisitions and mergers, bringing together several local accounting and advisory firms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role involves managing a high-performing team that provides accounting advice to a diverse range of clients.

  • Play a key role in the ongoing growth and development of the team, contributing to the establishment of a national service offering.

  • Serve as the go-to expert for the team's IFRS and UK GAAP interpretation queries, independently proposing conclusions.

  • Identify gaps in complex accounting matters and flag contentious or judgmental areas to the second reviewer before their review.

  • Work independently to provide complex IFRS accounting advice and support clients with accounting change projects, such as GAAP transitions.

  • Lead training sessions on both simple and complex accounting topics within the team and identify areas where additional guidance is needed.

  • Take responsibility for the team's development in new and complex accounting matters and identify training needs.

  • Offer independent technical accounting advice to clients.

  • Identify new opportunities to provide clients with technical accounting advice.

Ideally will be able to demonstrate the below experience;

  • ACCA, ACA, Qualified or Equivalent.

  • Strong IT skills, including MS Excel and various ERP software.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and Company Law.

  • Project management skills.

  • Team leadership skills.
