Purchase Ledger Clerk

Job description

​A small but well-established business based in Leeds are looking to add a Purchase Ledger Clerk to its team small finance team reporting ultimately to the Finance Controller.

The role is to work as part of an established team with a view to developing their career in accounts over the long term.

The duties include, but are not limited to –

  • To assist the Accounts Department with all areas of purchase ledger.

  • Coding & posting invoices.

  • Gaining the appropriate authorisation on invoices.

  • Matching to purchase orders.

  • Payment runs and checking statements.

  • Management of the purchase ordering system.

  • Other Ad hoc duties when needed Required.

We would be keen to hear from individuals with the following skills and experience:

  • A strong background in Purchase ledger and dealing with purchase invoices.

  • Competent in Microsoft packages, (excel) and previous experience of Sage would be an advantage.

  • Skilled in multitasking, prioritisation of workload, good organisational skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
