Management Accountant 12m FTC

Job description

​Our client are a growing SME manufacturing company in Mansfield, there is an immediate opportunity a Management Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed analysis to help management with decision-making.

  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors as needed.

  • Monitor cost control across the manufacturing operations, providing detailed cost analysis to improve profitability.

  • Collaborate with department heads to prepare financial reports and performance analyses.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant, ideally in a manufacturing or SME environment.

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (or finalist) or equivalent experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong Excel knowledge.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
