Interim FP&A Accountant

Job description

​This highly successful Leeds based Retail business currently have an opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional to join the team based in the City Centre.

The FP&A manager will play a key role in historical and current business performance analytics, together with future forecasting, to engage with senior stakeholders from across the business to provide information to support key business decisions.

The main duties of the role are as follows:

  • Produce high level presentations for company board, senior internal managers and external stakeholders.

  • Provide analysis to enable the business to evaluate commercial opportunities, achieve objectives and formulate strategy. To identify risks, trends and opportunities for future performance.

  • Ownership and delivery of reporting packs and ad hoc analysis for weekly, monthly and quarterly guidance/reporting to internal senior leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Plan and drive a robust, focused, value-added budgeting and strategic planning process, to include long term P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow to align the strategy of the business and funding requirements.

  • Drive and deliver a cadence of KPI performance metrics advising leadership on the best metrics to deliver step changes in business performance.

  • Support the forecasting process and review the operational assumptions, investigating variances, and challenging to ensure optimal operational and performance decisions.

  • Support the Annual Budget process and rolling two years medium term plan.

  • Support the 13-weeks rolling short-term cash-flow forecast.

  • Support the groups monthly management reporting process, delivering any requested analysis.

  • Support Sales & Margin analysis by sales channel, Business Unit and geographical locations.

  • Support the Finance Director in all aspects of Corporate financial management.

  • Business partner various functions both finance and non finance including Sales, Operations & HR.
