Group Accountant

Job description

​We have a fantastic Group Accountant an SME manufacturing group with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation. As Group Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. You’ll be responsible for consolidations, statutory accounts, and supporting the month-end close, while also driving improvements in financial processes and controls.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements across multiple business units

  • Lead on group reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP

  • Support the audit process and liaise with external auditors

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Provide insight and analysis to support strategic financial decisions

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, controls, and reporting efficiencies

Ideally will be able to demonstrate the below experience;

  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent).

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.

  • Strong Analytical skills.

  • Meticulous approach to financial reporting and compliance.

  • Confident communicator with ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficient in IT, and advanced Excel skills.

  • Knowledge of various ERP systems, or consolidation or accounts preparation software is desirable.
