Financial Controller

Job description

Our client is a local Manufacturing SME looking for a standout Financial Controller to join on a permanent basis. This role has been created through consistent business growth and will report directly into the Managing Director, and develop into a more senior position.

As Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations whilst providing accurate financial reporting and analysis to enable informed decision-making at the senior management level.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Leading all day-to-day accounting operations

  • Full production of monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary

  • Presentation of monthly board packs to SMT

  • Leading annual budgeting and forecasting processes, reforecasting where necessary

  • Leading cash flow and cash management processes including debt collection

  • Oversee a small accounts team

  • Support executive level decision making to meet company objectives

  • Preparation of year end accounts with external support from auditors

  • Responsibility for inventory and cost accounting

  • Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

  • Completion of monthly and weekly payroll

  • Completion of quarterly VAT returns

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA part-qualified or newly qualified

  • Recent Manufacturing experience (Desirable)
