Financial Accountant

Job description

The successful candidate will report to the Finance Director and should hold or be working towards ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification. The ideal candidate will be motivated to enhance their skills and contribute to the Finance Team’s success. This role offers great opportunities for growth within a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and relevant performance updates to the business at month-end and on a periodic basis throughout the month.

  • Serve as a business partner to senior stakeholders.

  • Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and internal controls.

  • Maintain and strengthen processes and controls in compliance with Group standards.

  • Undertake ad-hoc projects to support the finance team and strategic goals.

  • Perform detailed analysis of all P&L accounts.

  • Prepare month-end journal entries.

  • Contribute to the annual audit process.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

  • Assist with year-end financial reporting.

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Experience

  • Chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.

  • Expertise in data analysis and manipulation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational abilities.

  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple sites.

  • Ability to streamline processes to align with organizational standards.

he ideal candidate for this role will be either part-qualified or fully qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive mindset are crucial. The successful candidate must be able to work independently while also being willing to collaborate and assist team members when needed.
