Commercial Accountant

Are you looking to join a unique business based in Doncaster? Our client is expanding their accounts team and is looking for a Commercial Accountant to play a key role in their growth.

 

In this role, you will report to and work closely with the Senior Finance Manager, preparing monthly financial reports that will influence decision-making on both new and existing contracts. As a vital member of the finance team, you’ll engage regularly with area managers and non-finance staff, offering extensive finance business partnering.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with prior commercial finance experience who is eager to advance within a dynamic business. Ideally, candidates will be part-qualified or fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with senior finance staff to prepare and review monthly divisional results

  • Prepare and present detailed, insightful monthly financial reports

  • Support operational teams in understanding financial performance and provide guidance on key performance drivers

  • Conduct site visits to assess financial performance and promote financial awareness

  • Work with senior finance and operational teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance regional financial performance

  • Analyse customer data to provide insights on volume and income trends

  • Lead or participate in monthly business reviews to assess financial outcomes

  • Assist in preparing capital expenditure requests

  • Contribute to the development of financial models

  • Prepare monthly KPIs and ensure they align with business objectives

  • Support the development and implementation of business processes for new or revised contracts

  • Assist in reviewing commercial and business development models to ensure financial accuracy and sustainability

  • Step in to deputise for senior finance staff when required

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial finance and be either part-qualified or fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact within the business.
