Accounts Assistant

Job description

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working alongside a thriving manufacturing company based in Rotherham, seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their friendly, close-knit team. This is a hands-on role focused on supporting their financial operations, with an emphasis on maintaining their purchase and sales ledgers, among other accounts-based tasks.

This is temporary appointment with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.

  • Matching, batching, and coding purchase invoices.

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies.

  • Raising customer invoices and ensuring timely, accurate billing.

  • Allocating payments and managing customer accounts.

  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash flow management.

  • Supporting month-end processes and account reconciliations.

  • Providing general administrative support to the finance team.

 

Key skills and experience:

  • Experience within a similar role.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Experience on Sage software (advantageous not essential).

  • Communication skills for interacting with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
