Accounts Assistant

Job description

 Sharp Consultancy are partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing manufacturing business in the Doncaster area, seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.

As a highly reputable and expanding company, there is a strong possibility of this position transitioning into a permanent role at the conclusion of the contract, making this an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

They are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a positive attitude to provide essential support to the finance team during a busy period of growth and increased demand.

Key Duties:

  • Processing invoices, expenses, and payment requests in a timely manner

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports

  • Maintaining and updating accurate financial records

  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash flow management

  • Handling accounts payable and receivable tasks

  • Supporting the team with any ad-hoc finance-related tasks

  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve financial queries

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential)
