Purchase Ledger/Finance Assistant

We are excited to partner with a well established manufacturing business in the Sheffield area, seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis. If you have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a friendly and fast paced environment, then this could be for you.

The role is a 6 month temporary position to cover the winter months to support the Purchase Ledger function while the established team complete a new project. The role would suit a well rounded professional that has previous experience and comfortable performing reconciliations and using excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage and process a high volume of invoices

  • Coordinate and execute payment runs

  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable ledger

  • Maintain effective relationships with suppliers

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and financial statements as required by the finance team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accounts payable role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems is a must.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle queries effectively.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
