Job description

 Sharp Consultancy are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic manufacturing business based in Sheffield who are looking for a Payroll Officer to join their small and friendly finance team.

 

This position requires a skilled individual with previous experience in Payroll who is keen to enhance their skillset within a highly regarded business. The ideal candidate for this position will be organised, driven and have a strong ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks. As a Payroll Officer, your role is key for overseeing the businesses’ end-end payroll processing, including hourly-paid and salaried employees.

 

Your duties include the following:

  • Enter and appropriately store employee data onto the payroll system

  • Process wages, including overtime, deductions & maternity

  • Effectively manage responses to queries

  • Create weekly/monthly payroll reports

 

To be successful in your application for Payroll Officer, you will have the following skills & attributes:

  • Experience managing payroll on Sage50 is preferred

  • Independent & collaborative working

  • Thorough & an eye for detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills
