Payroll and Benefits Manager

​Our client is a leading Professional Services business based on the Wakefield/Leeds border and they have a requirement for a Payroll and Benefits Manager due to a recent restructure.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in a strategic role where you will be responsible for the development of the Payroll & Reward offering ensuring that the package is attractive to existing and future employees as well as maintaining a hands on approach to payroll.

The ideal candidate will be a strong Payroll professional (CIPP preferred) with a passion for Payroll and with a right first time approach.

Duties include:

  • To manage a small team day to day in effective delivery of the UK and Ireland payroll using Dayforce (circa 1000 employees) and including a small number of EMEA country payrolls

  • To manage day to day benefit administration and annual renewals for Group Life Assurance, Group Income Protection, PMI/Health Insurances, Pension, other benefits

  • Lead and manage all annual reporting duties such as P11d’s, PSA, Gender Pay Gap and equivalent in other EMEA countries where required

  • Manage and advise on IR35 off payroll working assessments as and when required

  • To act as an escalation point for operational payroll and benefit queries from the team, investigate any complex issues resolve to conclusion within the relevant deadlines

  • Oversee the preparation, co-ordination, and approval of all payrolls ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time and all legal requirements are met within relevant deadlines

  • Oversee day to day management and service review of the outsourced payroll bureaus and resolve escalated employee, Finance or business queries
