The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing management accounts, consolidating financial reports, and presenting key financial information to the Managing Director and Finance Director. They will provide valuable financial insights to assist decision-making, while also managing two junior team members, overseeing their work, fostering their professional growth, and promoting effective communication and strong leadership within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management Accounts & Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports and management accounts to support strategic decision-making.

  • Job Efficiency & Job Costing: Monitor job efficiency and analyse costs to identify opportunities for savings and improvements.

  • Wages and Expenses: Handle payroll processing and ensure accurate payment of wages and expenses.

  • Subcontractor Accounts: Oversee subcontractor accounts, verify invoices, and process payments.

  • Company Audits: Assist with audits by preparing documentation and addressing any audit queries.

  • General Accounting Duties: Perform general accounting tasks, including ledger maintenance and bank reconciliation.
