Management Accountant

 Our client is a long-standing innovative manufacturer looking for an exceptional Management Accountant to join their Rotherham based site in a fundamental new role. Our client is a specialist manufacturer within the aerospace and vehicle industries aiming for 20% growth in the next 12 months. This role has been designed to report directly into the Financial Controller who is looking to offer extensive mentorship as the Management Accountant progresses through the business.

The position of Management Accountant has been engineered to hold responsibility for month-end processes, engage with a variety of senior stakeholders and add value through cost reduction and streamlining initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who are in the latter stages of their professional qualification, or newly qualified, looking for a more commercialised role to further develop their skillset in a large manufacturing organisation.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Production of complete month-end management accounts including commentary and variance analysis.

  • In-depth understanding of costs and ability to identify cost-reduction initiatives.

  • Review of company inventory liaising with operational and commercial teams.

  • Collaborating with non-finance stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and or automate financial processes where necessary.

  • Weekly review and analysis of P&L.

  • Reporting on sales and KPI’s across the wider business.

  • Account reconciliation to meet legislative requirements.

  • Completion of monthly VAT submissions.

  • Assist with internal and external audit processes – acting as a point of contact for external auditors.

  • Review of policies and procedures within finance – implementing change where necessary to improve executive decision making.

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Part-Qualified or Qualified.

  • Previous manufacturing experience (desirable).

  • Ability to communicate with a variety of senior stakeholders.
