The position of Financial Controller will report directly into the Group Finance Director and support the wider finance function. The role has been designed to improve business performance and efficiency by providing accurate and timely financial reports, alongside the analysis of financial and commercial data to offer strong business recommendations to support further growth.

As Financial Controller, you will hold responsibility for influencing strategic decisions that will drive performance within the business, as well as leading various reporting processes and delivering these results to multiple stakeholders across the wider operational team.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Financial Reporting Standards

  • Production of dashboards for overseas subsidiaries

  • Automation of current reporting packs to streamline weekly and monthly reporting processes

  • Direct the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate financial projections that inform strategic decision-making

  • Establish and maintain a robust financial framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Develop sophisticated excel models to assess the viability of potential investments, and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives

  • Implement and develop financial systems and technologies to enhance financial reporting and analysis

  • Build and lead a small high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, collaborating effectively with operational managers and functional leaders

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified

  • Previous experience of managing a team
