Finance Assistant

Job description

We are partnering exclusively with a local organisation, recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the potential to become a permanent member of the team and involves working within a welcoming and supportive finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor purchase orders and ensure deliveries are GRN on the system.

  • Process day-to-day transactions on sales and purchase ledgers.

  • Ensure that outstanding purchase orders are checked at month-end

  • Reconcile supplier statements monthly and resolve queries.

  • Collaborate with different financial departments to ensure timely invoice processing.

  • Prepare weekly payment runs.

  • Set up supplier and customer accounts.

  • Reconcile monthly credit card accounts.

  • Maintain high standards of financial integrity.

  • Deliver and assist with short-term projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar position.

  • AAT part-qualified/qualified – advantageous not essential.

  • Proficiency in finance systems and Excel – advantageous not essential.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across multiple departments.
