Data Analyst

Job description

​I am currently partnering with a charity who are York based and they are looking for a Data Analyst to join the team on a 12-month FTC.

As the Data Analyst, you will be responsible for data gathering, high quality reporting, analysing information and ensuring that all data is recorded and stored in line with company policy.

The ideal candidate for this position will be available on short notice and have at least 1-2 years in a similar role.

Data Analyst responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in data sets to drive business insights.

  • Create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining databases and data systems.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.

  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes.

  • Assist in maintaining data governance and compliance with data privacy regulations.

What could set you apart?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools: Excel, SQL, Python, or R.

  • Understanding of data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI etc.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
