Assistant Management Accountant

In this role, you will provide essential day-to-day support to the Finance Department, assisting with the analysis of business performance across various entities. You will also play a key role in supporting the preparation of management accounts, ensuring accurate financial reports are presented to the Finance Manager.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to the Finance Department by assisting with financial tasks and ensuring efficient workflows.

  • Monitor and assess the financial performance of global subsidiaries and contribute to group board reporting.

  • Assist in the implementation and upgrading of systems as the company adopts new technologies.

  • Assist with managing the fixed asset register.

  • Post accounting journals and support the month-end closing process, including the preparation of the Profit & Loss statement.

  • Aid in year-end audits and the preparation of statutory financial statements.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.

  • Assist in preparing VAT returns

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., AAT, part-qualified ACCA, CIMA).

  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills, able to address queries and concerns with stakeholders at all business levels.

  • Highly organised and deadline-oriented
