Accounts Assistant

Job description

​Sharp Consultancy is collaborating with a well-known and established company in Wakefield to hire a skilled Accounts Assistant to support the finance department of a well respected manufacturing business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of the purchase ledger, such as coding, verifying, posting, and paying supplier invoices via BACS.

  • Processing, coding, and entering daily receipts from bank statements and cheques.

  • Handling phone inquiries from suppliers.

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly VAT reports.

Required Experience:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Assistant. Strong attention to detail, excellent Excel skills, and superb organizational abilities are essential.
